We are currently looking for an experienced Used Car Sales Manager to oversee the Land Rover Used Car Sales team. A strong Sales Manager’s expertise means we can develop and grow the strongest sales teams in the industry, ensuring that if our teams are looked after, in turn they will look after our guests. Our Sales Managers must have the ability to understand the numbers and drive team performance using energy, skill and unbridled passion.

What you will do

  • Achieves new sales and F&I commission target.
  • Develops sales action plans to ensure sales and profitability targets are achieved.
  • Formulates sales targets for each sales team member, supports and motivates them to achieve.
  • Works with Sales Controller to maintain status as FSA approved advisor completing FSA requirements.
  • Manages all car stock, new sales, ensures profit is maximised and achieves an acceptable return on stock investment.
  • Ensures the sales team have full knowledge and understanding of product, promotional and marketing activities. Ensures team display all advertising and Point of Sale literature as directed by the manufacturer.
  • Consults with customers to establish their needs, resolves any complaints professionally and calmly
  • Reviews pricing policy, discounts and trade-in dealing to ensure profitability level is maintained.
  • Measures departmental sales performance, credit and finance commission, outstanding debtor information weekly and takes the appropriate action to ensures targets are being met.
  • Improves customer satisfaction by developing and implementing a strategy with the sales team.

What you will need

  • Proven experience in automotive sales, in a management role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A solid understanding of the used car market and customer needs.
  • Ability to analyse data and make informed business decisions.
  • Proficient in dealership management software and MS Office.
